The Liver is literally the largest and hardest-working internal organ in the human body. Whatever we consume be it solid, liquid, or air must ultimately pass through the liver to be metabolized, and while it is the hardest working organ, it also regenerates the fastest. However, the
regeneration process is contingent on us supplying it with nourishing foods that support healing, and not consuming foods and substances that stress it. A stressed or toxic liver is unable to effectively maintain proper blood-sugar balance, causing fatigue, hypoglycemia, and ultimately if unchecked diabetes. We must ensure that this organ that works so hard to keep us healthy, is given what it needs to be healthy. Our first line of defense is to incorporate bitter foods into our daily diets, while we may not particularly like the taste of bitter, our liver requires it to maintain balance and flush built-up toxins from our system.

The most important thing to do for good intestinal health is to make sure waste is moving rapidly. For a society that believes in 3 square meals a day, there should be at least the equivalent of 3 square bowel movements a day. Otherwise, fecal matter builds up and becomes trapped, preventing nutrients from being absorbed, and establishing a toxic environment of rot and putrefaction, causing diseases of all types.
